LONG-LASTING, DURABLE MATERIALS
American Douglas Metals (ADM) supplies industries with the highest quality of industrial, flat-rolled aluminum sheets for projects such as truck doors, high-efficiency lighting, bonded panels, and more. Our inventory can be custom-made to match your exact needs. Standard sheet size includes:
- 48” x 96”
- 48” x 120”
- 48” x 144”
The ADM metal services center can also provide aluminum sheets in the following formats and finishes:
Mill Finish is the natural appearance of the aluminum material as it comes from the rolling mill or the extrusion mill. It is “as is” with no external mechanical or chemical finishing. Extruded metal is considered a “mill finish”. All aluminum has an oxide of varying thickness.
Painted finishes offer extreme durability in outdoor exposure as well as indoors because of our high-quality paint system. Pre-painted aluminum sheet finishes are uniquely designed in that they provide a hard, abrasive resistant coating, yet allow the flexibility for extensive forming and fabricating on a metal surface.

Embossing is a marking process that leaves raised designs on metal and other materials. The process utilizing rollers or dies combined with pressure to mark the metal sheets with a series of designs. This technique is great for creating slip-resistant platforms, stairs, and a range of other custom-designed steel and metal products.
Anodized aluminum is processed into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish. This process fully integrated with aluminum so it cannot peel or chip.
Powder-coated finishes provide durability and a protective layer against moisture, scratches, and knocks. In addition, power coating adds a decorative color and texture to the metal sheets. At ADM we have a range of bright hues and unique textures for your aluminum application. Powder coating has the added benefit of being more environmentally friendly than liquid paint, which is an important factor to consider.
1000, 3000, 5000, and 6000 Series
1000 Series aluminum contains 99% aluminum with no major alloying additions. This finish provides products with great corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and low mechanical properties.
3000 Series aluminum contains added manganese and exhibits resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents. The aluminum offers higher mechanical properties and is not heat-treated, which makes them suitable for anodizing and welding.
5000 Series aluminum sheets are alloyed with magnesium to offer a more corrosion-resistant product.
6000 Series aluminum contains added manganese and silicon. This combination of elements allows the alloy to be solution heat-treated which improves the alloy’s strength. Used extensively in welding fabrication, the alloys are supplied in bars, sheets, and extrusions.
Our high-performing custom sheets can be recycled continuously without any loss of material properties. The lightweight structure and corrosion resistance of aluminum make it ideal for any type of project.
