Mill Finish

Mill Finish is the natural appearance of the aluminum material as it comes from the rolling mill or the extrusion mill. It is “as is” with no external mechanical or chemical finishing. Extruded metal is considered a “mill finish”. All aluminum has an oxide of varying thickness.  Depending on your project needs, our machinists will work with you to choose the exact quality finish.

Painted

Painted finishes on blanks offer extreme durability in outdoor exposure as well as indoors because of our premium quality paint system.  Pre-painted aluminum blank color finishes are uniquely designed in that they provide a hard, abrasive resistant coating, yet allow the flexibility for extensive forming and fabricating on a surface.

A TURN-KEY SOLUTION FOR YOUR METAL PROJECT

Forget the middleman!  ADM is your one-stop-metalworking shop!  Passing your project off from one location to the next can cause complications or compromise the integrity of your finished product.  We have a variety of paint options available at our shop, but if your project requires a specified paint or finish, we can order it for you and apply it.  We’ve got your metalworks covered!

Embossed

exmaple of embossed aluminumEmbossing is a marking process that leaves raised designs on our materials. The process utilizes rollers or dies combined with pressure to mark the metal sheets with a series of designs. This technique is great for creating slip-resistant platforms, stairs, and a range of other custom-designed steel and metal orders.

Our metalworking shop offers a limited supply of embossed patterns:

  • Driftwood
  • Pebble
  • Rustic Cedar
  • Seville

Anodized

Anodized aluminum is processed into a decorative, durable, corrosion-resistant, anodic oxide finish. This process is fully integrated with aluminum so it cannot peel or chip.

1000, 3000, 5000, and 6000 Series

1000 Series aluminum contains 99% aluminum with no major alloying additions. This finish provides products with great corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and low mechanical properties.

3000 Series aluminum contains added manganese and exhibits resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents. 3000 series items offer higher mechanical properties and are not heat-treated, which makes them suitable for anodizing and welding.

5000 Series blanks are alloyed with magnesium to offer a more corrosion-resistant product.

6000 Series aluminum contains added manganese and silicon. This combination of elements allows the alloy to be solution heat-treated which improves the alloy’s strength. Used extensively in welding fabrication, the alloys are supplied in bars, sheets, blanks, and extrusions.

Flat-rolled blanks are high-strength, yet lightweight, and the preferred material for a variety of industrial projects.

Our full range of services includes fabrication, assembly, processing, warehousing, and more. As your preferred carbon steel blanks supplier, we offer shipping directly to your location from one of our multiple processing and warehousing facilities.
